CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY FOR THE 'PHOENIX'

A big thank you to the following people for their kind support of the 'Phoenix:

COLCHESTER CHILDREN'S CHARITY made a donation of £500.00p to the 'Phoenix'

SARAH HEARN & TRACEY for organising a Charity Fund Raising Nite. The proceeds from the Charity evening were split 50/50 between the 'Phoenix' and Autism Anglia. Both charities received £92.50p.

PASSMORE WEEKS & RICHARDSON. (28th March 2011)

Dear Kate
It gives me great pleasure to write to you on behalf of the Colchester Phoenix Amateur Swimming Club to thank the ‘Partnership’ of Passmore Weeks & Richardson for the very generous donation of £400 which were the proceeds from the Partnership’s ‘2010 fund rising initiative - ‘No Sending of Christmas Cards’.

Thank you so much for naming the ‘Phoenix’ as the chosen charity for Christmas 2010!

As mentioned to you briefly last Saturday the money will be used in support of funding another qualified ASA Level 2 Swimming Teacher for twelve months or longer if possible! Hopefully you are still in agreement with that?

As you are aware the ‘Phoenix’ is in the process of fund raising in support of funding another Swimming Teacher by doing our own Silent Auction in April. Therefore it is hoped that the proceeds from the ‘Silent Auction and your kind donation will enable us to do that, which I am sure it will.

Once again on behalf of the ‘Phoenix’, I would like to say another big thank you to the ‘partnership’ for their support of us and also for their support of Disability Swimming at ‘grass root’ level.

Without the support from business’s and organisions such as your good selves we could not and would not survive…Thank you so much.

COMRADES LODGE2976 / MRS. COURTNEY. (March 2011)

Dear Paul
I am writing to thank you on behalf of the Colchester Phoenix Amateur Swimming Club for the generous donation of £150.00. from the Comrades Lodge 2976.

Your very kind donation will be used for the sole benefit of our club members.

Please can you pass on our thanks to all your members for nominating the ' Phoenix ' as one of the Comrades Lodge 2976 chosen charities?

Once again, many, many thanks for your support.

Dear Mrs Courtney (15th March 2011)

I am writing to thank you on behalf of the Colchester Phoenix Amateur Swimming Club for your very generous gift of sixty pounds, which was passed onto me from your Great Niece, Sherri.

After a long discussion with Sherri and of course getting her permission, it was decided that we would like to use your gift to purchase a Silver Cup that would be presented to one of our young swimmers at our next Annual Awards Evening in memory of Sherri’s Dad, ‘Chris North’.

We know that Chris enjoyed swimming himself and that he was also very proud of the fantastic achievements and goals his Grandson Liam had made at competition level. So, by having a presentation Cup made in Chris’s memory would be a wonderful way of encouraging other swimmers to achieve their goals.

On the cup we would like to engrave the wording: ‘The Chris North Achievers Cup’ (In memory of Liam Cooke’s late Grandfather).

We do hope that the above meets with your approval and we would once again like to say a big thank you to you for your generous gift.

Kind regards and best wishes to you...................
